มันคือ Blog, Diary หรือ Journal กันแน่ ? (วะ)

ตัวผมเองนั้นได้พบกับคำถาม และคำอธิบายถึงความแตกต่างระหว่าง blog, diary และ journal. หลายๆคนให้ความหมายของมันแตกต่างกันออกไป ซึ่งดูเหมือนกับว่าขอบเขตที่แน่นอนระหว่างสิ่งเหล่านี้ ดูจะเลือนลางมากซะจนจับมาอธิบายไม่ได้

คำอธิบายต่อไปนี้ เป็นคำอธิบายคร่าวๆจากมุมมองของผม เกี่ยวกับสามสิ่งที่กล่าวไป

Diary เป็นบันทึกชีวิตประจำวันของบุคคลบุคคลหนึ่ง ซึ่งมักไม่ค่อยมีจุดประสงค์อะไรเท่าไหร่นัก

Journal เป็นการเขียนจากความคิด หรือเหตุการณ์อะไรที่เกิดขึ้น ปกติแล้วมักมีจุดมุ่งหมาย จุดประสงค์ เป็นหลัก

Blog เก็บ ความคิด/ทัศนะคติ เกี่ยวกับสิ่งต่างๆไว้ ซึ่งอาจมาในรูปแบบแนะนำหรือวิจารณ์หรือรูปแบบอื่นๆ "เรื่องส่วนบุคคลหรือบทความที่มีจุดประสงค์ชัดเจน ไม่จัดอยู่ในหมวดนี้"

ชิ่งโดนกันหลายบล็อกเลยป่าว

ดังที่กล่าวไว้ในข้างต้น ว่าขอบเขตมันเลือนลางมาก การใช้งานเลยมักจะมั่วตั้วกันอยู่

สื่อภาษาไทยที่เจอกันบ่อยๆ มักเอา blog ไปเทียบกับ webboard แทนที่จะเป็น diary, journal. ซึ่งดูแล้วมันแทบจะไม่เกี่ยวกันเลย ผมคิดว่าสาเหตุคงเป็นที่ webboard เป็นคำที่ผู้รับสารเข้าใจตรงกัน มากกว่าคำว่า diary และ journal ละมั้ง

การพัฒนาของ Blog

จากบทความของ Jorn Barger มันเป็นใครวะ?

"A weblog is a webpage where a weblogger 'logs' all the other webpages she finds interesting."

เดิมทีแล้ว weblog มีไว้สำหรับ blogger เอาไว้แนะนำ link หรือบอกผู้อ่านว่า "ลองเวปนี้สิ เจ๋งนะเฟ้ย" โดยแทนที่จะ forward ผ่าน email ก็ทำเป็นเวปเพจเพื่อไม่ให้เกิด Fram (แปลว่า Spam จากเพื่อน)

เมื่อเวลาผ่านไป ได้มีผู้ทำ weblog ให้ง่ายต่อการเพิ่มและแก้ไข เช่น blogger, exteenนอกจากนั้นยังมีผู้ทำ script เพื่อการสร้างบล็อกในเวปตัวเอง เช่น drupalทำให้ blog เริ่มแพร่หลาย และมีความผิดเพี้ยนทางความหมายเกิดขึ้น

ผู้คนเริ่มทิ้ง link ไป และหันมาพูดเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่ตัวเองคิดแทน อย่างบทความช่วงนี้ที่เป็นกันบ่อยๆคือ ชั้นคิดยังไงเกี่ยวกับการ Comment ไปผ่านๆ

จากที่ผู้คนเริ่มเขียนความคิดของตนเอง หรือเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับชีวิตตัวเอง เอาไว้ใน blog ผู้ที่เข้ามาใช้ blog ในรุ่นหลังจึงเข้าใจไปว่า สิ่งที่ปรากฎเหล่านั้นเป็น blog

แต่ตอนนี้ คุณก็รู้แล้วใช่ไหม ว่ามันไม่ใช่อย่างที่(อาจจะ)เคยคิด

ในอนาคต ความหมายของทั้งสามสิ่งนี้อาจหมายถึงสิ่งเดียวกันก็ได้ ผู้ที่กำหนดความหมายนั้นก็คือตัวผู้เขียนนั่นเอง

ที่เราๆเขียนกันนั้น มันเป็น Blog, Diary หรือ Journal กันเนี่ย?

หนทางเดียวที่จะรู้ ก็คือการลองเขียนไปจนถึงระดับหนึ่ง สิ่งเหล่านั้นจะปรากฎออกมาเอง

นี่เป็นสิ่งที่ผมใช้วัดทัศนะคติของตนเองเกี่ยวกับบทความที่ผมเขียน ว่ามันเป็นอะไรกันแน่ ซึ่งในปัจจุบันมันก็วัดได้ดีทีเดียวนะ

ผมคิดว่า พวกที่ขอให้คนอื่นมาคอมเมนต์ หรือเมนต์ของคนอื่นแบบนั้น เค้ามีความคิดว่า การเม้นเป็นการแสดงออกถึงความสนใจในตัวคนคนนั้น หรือเป้นการแสดงออกที่เพื่อนพึงมี

ผมไม่ได้คิดอะไรในแง่ลบกับคนที่ทำอย่างนี้นะ เพราะผมทึกทักเอาเองว่าผมเข้าใจความหมาย
